About Us

The Cancer Research Foundation is a United States, a tax-exempt, 501(c)3, public charity that was created to raise awareness about the importance of cancer research and the need for cancer research funding. The foundation is designed to minimize operating expenses and to donate 100% of all net proceeds to cancer research.

This year, your donations will benefit the innovative research programs at Mayo Clinic Cancer Center, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, UCLA Jonsson Cancer Center Foundation, and UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center. Each recipient is a renowned research institute on the cutting edge of cancer research; each ranked within the top ten cancer hospitals by US News and World Report. We consciously support diverse and innovative centers in the expectation that each institute will find a different piece to the puzzle and that, together, will find a cure or cures to the over 200 types of cancer.

We all understand that patient care and treatment options are vitally important to specific individuals (young and old) currently affected by cancer; fortunately, there are many wonderful organizations out there that are designed for just that purpose. However, the only way to keep another 13 million people from being affected by cancer over the next 10 years is to find cures. Cures will only come from innovative research and study… this is where the Cancer Research Foundation is striving to help.

Currently, the world is feeling the pain of a struggling economy… and the government has been forced to curtail many of its programs. Unfortunately, years of struggle (natural disasters, wars, economic recession, and more) have severely hampered medical research funding (with cancer research experiencing the largest cut among all areas of the National Institutes of Health); in addition, the philanthropy community, although extremely generous, is stretched thin supporting its own families and, when able to give, often overlooks the colder face of research in favor of easing the heart wrenching pain of a victim. As cold as research may seem, it is the only road to true cures and an end to cancer… and it desperately needs recognition and funding help from individuals like you.
